Twilight was originally a longliner fishing vessel operating out of Cornwall. After years of neglect, Greenhook Fishing Plymouth, acquired what remained and completely restored her from just a hull.
Greenhook Fishing was a charity established to provide training in boat-building and sailing, primarily to ex-service personnel. Twilight was restored to become a support vessel to the Geoffrey Rowe a traditional “Plymouth hooker”-style open vessel, which was common around city waters in the late 19th Century. The vessels were part of plans to build a small fleet of sustainable sail powered fishing boats. After project completion in 2021, Twilight was sold and came to her new home in Tobermory.
Twilight is now a fully coded MCA passenger vessel, carrying full safety equipment.
I’m Lyndsey her new skipper and owner of Tobermory Bay Tours. Many regular visitors to Tobermory may recognise me from the Mull Aquarium which I built in 2015 and ran for 7 years on behalf of the Tobermory Harbour Association. In 2022 we established Tobermory Bay Tours as a small family run business and endeavour to show you the best of Tobermory from the water whilst keeping a personal touch to our tours.
